Job Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Mental Health Intern or Licensed Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families, providing culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate care. This position involves offering individual and family therapy, collaborating with caregivers, and supporting clients through various emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents addressing emotional, behavioral, and social concerns.
- Facilitate family sessions to strengthen communication, promote healthy dynamics, and support caregiver involvement in treatment.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide psychoeducation and involve them in goal planning.
- Conduct clinical assessments and help develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates.
- Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision (if applicable for interns).
- Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality in accordance with state laws and organizational policies.
- Stay informed about evidence-based practices relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
Qualifications
- Master’s-level intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field OR a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) in the state of Florida.
- Passion for working with youth and their families.
- Familiarity or interest in play therapy, CBT, family systems, or trauma-informed approaches.
- Ability to build rapport with children, teens, and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour
