Overview
Counterpart International is seeking an Officer to join the New Business Development (NBD) team. The Officer will report to a Program Manager on the NBD Team and serve as a Proposal Coordinator or Proposal Manager on United State Agency for International Development (USAID), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Department of State (DOS) proposals.
The position is ideal for a candidate with 4-5 years’ experience in international development who has recently completed their higher education and an interest to build their career with a mission-oriented international development non-profit organization. Responsibilities
- Serve as the Proposal Coordinator or Proposal Manager on USAID, USDA and/or DOS proposals.
- Provide coordination and administrative support to proposal teams, including:
- Editing, formatting, and packaging of technical and cost proposals.
- Documenting discussions and decisions in important meetings.
- Ensuring information, folders, and documents are appropriately saved on SharePoint.
- Supporting the logistics of Counterpart staff and consultant travel.
- Developing and writing past performance, resumes, and qualification statements.
- Assisting with proposal's schedule development, outline, calendars, data calls, and content research. Drafting Teaming Agreements for partners.
- Representing Counterpart at industry events and at partner meetings as needed.
- Support ongoing knowledge management efforts and appropriate documentation on SharePoint.
- Provide overall logistical support to the NBD team, including travel logistics, meeting coordination, and documenting minutes of meeting.
- Manage and maintain Counterpart’s SharePoint funding opportunities pipeline. This includes adding new entries and updating existing entries daily.
- Support market research efforts to inform the growth strategies, decisions to pursue USAID, USDA, or DOS opportunities and support the analysis of Counterpart’s pipeline.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required ;Master’s degree in International Development, Public Policy, Public Management, or other relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working in international development including program management, business development, or field experience.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong writing and formatting skills.
- Comfortable working and communicating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and under pressure against tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, self-directed and curious.
Preferred
- Previous experience coordinating USAID or DOS proposals.
- Experience using SharePoint.
- Familiarity with USG procurement regulations and processes
- Language skills in French, Spanish, Arabic, or Russian.
The salary range for this position is $51,552- $82,459 annually.
