About the Job:

We're excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Loan Servicing Team Lead! Under the direction of the Vice President of Retail Lending, this role acts as the Lead to provide guidance to the Loan Servicing Team in their daily job functions and in issues that need resolution, and acts as a liaison between the Loan Servicing staff and the Vice President of Retail Lending. This role is responsible for HMDA QC and yearly HMDA reporting, managing loan purchases and relationships with Investors, performing Secondary Market remittance and reconciliations, and for the Secondary Market Loan Sales & Purchase functions, along with performing a variety of duties to ensure the proper processing of residential/consumer loan servicing functions.

The pay range for this position is $51,000 to $80,000.

This position is Full Time, 40 hours weekly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other Duties May be Assigned):

• Perform a variety of day-to day Team Lead Loan Servicing Functions including partial charge offs and full charge off processing, foreclosure and OREO Processing, release of Obligor on mortgage loans, partial releases on Residential Mortgage and Residential Equity Loans.
• Process the removal of the discounted rate on consumer loan that have failed to meet one or more of the requirements for the discounted rate. Process payoffs for Credit Booster Loans that have gone 30 days past due. Works with Collections on the Non-Accrual/Impaired process by adding and removing the Impaired status on loans as well as removing loans from Non-Accrual. Process Capitalization of past due Real Estate Taxes on Mortgage and residential Equity Loans.
• Review the HELOC NFP Insurance report to ensure all insured loans appear on the report, create the invoice and upload to NFP for payment.
• Calculate and perform maintenance on loan accounts for Re-Amortization requests, Easy Modifications and AMI Modifications and Construction Loan class changes.
• Assist other Team members find solutions to issues that may arise. Assist with other job functions as needed. Help ensure all members work as a team and individually to ensure all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• Act as liaison between the Loan Servicers and the VP of Retail Lending.
• Processes loan extensions and principal waivers sent from Loan Collections and reviews daily OnBase reports and corrects issues as necessary. Reconciles various WIP’s and accounts on daily and monthly frequencies.
• Manages contracts and relationships with Investors, such as reviewing and following up on all conditions from the investors to ensure all items have been addressed prior to loan purchase and exception scenarios.
• Identifies loans available for sale in the Secondary Market. Uploads file to ULDD before selling loan to Freddie Mac. Prices and takes out contracts and transmits data via online systems with Freddie Mac, verifies and approves fees and expenses from investor; packages and delivers documents to the Document Custodian, processes settlement of funds which includes: loan file maintenance, initiating GL transactions, and reports.
• Creates and maintains secondary market activity reporting for the Chief Retail Lending Officer and performs secondary market remittances and reconciliations.
• Reviews loan documents, LOS information and the HMDA LAR to perform comprehensive HMDA quality control on all originated and non-originated Residential and Commercial loans to ensure compliance with all HMDA requirements. Reviews and ensures accuracy of information found on the HMDA Monitoring Summary provided by Compliance.
• Works with Compliance to prepare the HMDA LAR for the timely annual submission to the CFPB.
• Collaborates with Compliance to assist with implementation and guidance of HMDA reporting requirements, to include facilitating process improvements, preparing and presenting of training materials to staff, and remains up to date on HMDA requirements.

Knowledge and Skills

It is preferred that the employee in this position can work independently, interpreting ideas and facts, while also analyzing and interpreting federal and state laws and/or regulations. This individual should have strong customer service and sales skills, along with the ability to communicate with a pleasant and professional manner. Employees with strong written communication skills and exceptional verbal/numerical aptitudes are preferred. Must also demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite items, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Knowledge of the Finastra core platform is preferred.

Education and Work Experience

A High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of related work experience is preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

This position is in an office environment, which means the physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards, with a moderate level of noise. Prolonged periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen with freedom of movement on a regular basis is expected. Minimal physical effort is required but could include: repetitive motion of wrists and fingers; talking and hearing; and handling of light materials and supplies. This position may require some travel between offices.
