Overview

The Communications and Social Media Marketing Manager handles all communication external and internal while maintaining the Club’s website, social media pages, and other informational outlets. This position creates, maintains, and distributes promotional materials and information for events and activities.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for the distribution of Club communications, including letters, emails, newsletters, announcements, surveys, and other general correspondence to both employees and members following the Club’s established communication strategic plan
  • Maintains the Club’s website, Cobalt app, social media platforms for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, graphics, and logos to ensure accurate and consistent representation of the Club; upholds the Club’s established brand and image. Ensures that all information is accurate and up to date
  • Serves as the point of contact for member inquiries regarding general Club information, website and app portal assistance, profile/directory updates, member profile photos, etc. 
  • Supports the board elections and calls for club committees processes by publishing announcements, preparing ballots and other media pieces as necessary at the direction of the COO and Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Supports the department head team for all club events by creating communications and registrations materials weekly in an engaging and effective manner
  • Maintains Club photos including employee, member, and Board of Directors photos (currently with Jimmy’s Photography)

Education and Experience Requirement

The Communications and Social Media Marketing Manager must have demonstrated prior experience in a marketing/communications role, preferably in the private club or hospitality industry, as well as proven experience in digital marketing. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field is preferred.  


 

 

Other Necessary Skills & Requirement

  • Expert User of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert User of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Pro
  • Proficient in computer software and website management
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, including direct email marketing campaigns, electronic newsletter and communication platforms, and digital surveys
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written skills
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to offering excellent member and event services
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • General knowledge of private club and hospitality operations and standards
