What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess/Host position at Country Club of Detroit?
A Host/ Hostess is the first person to meet a guest when they enter a restaurant, and they're in charge of the beginning part of the dining experience.
Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure.
Here at the Country Club of Detroit we have multiple areas available for host/hostess' to work. We have our Fine Dining Restaurant which includes our Main Dining Room, Tavern (bar), Screen in Porch and in season the Outer Terrace. We also have the Summer Village which is a completely out door restaurant attached to the pool. Finally, for the fall and winter we have Grille Room Dining, which is a fast paced, younger family used restaurant.
All of our hostess are trained in the areas listed above, in season we are open 6-7 days a week.
