Job Description for Server Assistant
The Server Assistant will help provide an enhanced member experience while supporting their Food and Beverage Team. As an assistant to the a la carte/banquet server, the SA will need to read POS Chits accurately, arrange the trays with necessary condiments and carry/serve the members accurately and correctly. The SA is responsible for preparing service stations and kitchen stations, clearing and resetting tables, removing all trays from the dining/banquet rooms, and cleaning/closing service stations. This is a full-time seasonal position.
- Assists servers in their tasks.
- Ensures all service stations in the kitchen are stocked and ready for service.
- Removes soiled dishes from the table; brings to dish room.
- Completes set up and breakdown of banquet and dining events as assigned. Sets tables with silverware, glassware, and other items
- Be able to read the expeditor screen and put tickets together. Carry food trays to tables using the correct seat positions on the table.
- Polishes silverware before and after shifts.
- Stocks servers’ station with supplies. Restocks bus station continually with ice, coffee, teas, and other supplies.
- Collects trash from the Dining room, Tavern, and other specified places after each serving period.
- Maintains cleanliness of all dining and patio areas.
- Inspects equipment for defects, cleanliness, or any maintenance that needs to be completed and report to supervisor.
- Sets lighting, props, floral arrangement, decoration, etc., to support the needs of the Banquet Event Orders.
- Responsible for setting cards and meetings
- Prepare all banquet functions for the following day and Banquet Event Order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to serve alcohol legally.
Must have one year of experience in food and beverage.
Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills. Reliable and punctual attendance.
