Job Summary :
The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing banquet events, ensuring exceptional service, coordinating staff, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage presentation. They play a key role in organizing and executing successful events, such as weddings and social gatherings.
Key Responsibilities :
Event Coordination & Execution :
Supervise and assist in setting up banquet events.
Ensure all banquet operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Communicate event details and expectations with staff to deliver high-quality service.
Work closely with team members and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
Team Management :
Supervise, train, and mentor banquet servers and support staff.
Assign duties and monitor staff performance to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
Address any staff concerns or challenges during events.
Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Guest Service & Satisfaction :
Greet and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Monitor the banquet area to ensure food and beverage quality and presentation meet company standards.
Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly.
Inventory & Maintenance :
Oversee inventory of banquet supplies, linens, and equipment.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure sufficient food and beverage supply.
Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
Administrative Duties :
Assist in scheduling staff members for banquet events.
Maintain records of events, staff performance, and guest feedback.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality Management degree preferred).
2 years of experience in banquet or hospitality services, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
