Job Description
- Daily setup and service of continental breakfast in main lobby area.
- Daily practice of customer service by assisting guests with breakfast, visiting, giving directions, etc.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary foodservice environment.
- Daily cleaning and proper storage of food items and equipment.
- Clean public areas and other areas as assigned by Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
- Daily monitoring of breakfast supplies inventory and ordering as directed by General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
- Maintain knowledge of the facility, amenities and of the community.
- The ability to listen, empathize, and apologize and problem solve when dealing with a difficult situation or guest.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain the highest level of security for the safety and confidentiality of the guest as well as corporate interest.
STANDARDS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Reports to work regularly, neatly groomed and in full uniform with name badge. You are a representative of the company – the guest’s first impression of the company.
- Maintain expected service and sanitary standards while working with continental breakfast.
KITCHEN
- Clean, organized appearance at all times.
- Supplies adequately stocked.
- Chemical bottles stored in proper location so as not to come into contact with food or other guest sensitive items – Health Department and Osha requirements.
- Breakfast attendant is responsible to ensure the department is adequately stocked for the next day.
- All dishes, cookware and utensils will be washed and sanitized daily.
- All counter tops and other potential food contact areas will be cleaned and sanitized daily.
- All food will be properly labeled for usage by date and stored in their original packaging or air tight containers.
- Expiration dates will be monitored – items will be disposed of accordingly.
- Floor will be swept and wet mopped daily.
- Refrigerators / freezers and cabinets will be cleaned regularly.
LOBBY BREAKFAST SERVICE AREA
- Clean, organized appearance at all times.
- Supplies adequately stocked.
- Perishable food must be kept covered and chilled items must be kept cold according to Health Department requirements.
- Breakfast attendant will be present at all times while guests are in the area offering the highest level of customer service possible.
PUBLIC AREAS
- All tiled or hard surface floors swept and mopped – no sign of dust or debris along floor edges.
- All trash cans emptied.
- All furniture dusted / polished.
- All glass doors, mirrors and windows cleaned and free of finger prints.
- Periodically, the Assistant General Manager or General Manager will inspect the kitchen and breakfast areas to ensure the maintenance of sanitary requirements by the Health Department.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Morning shift (5AM-10AM weekdays, 6AM-11AM weekends and holidays)
- Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday on week 1
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday on Week 2
Experience:
- Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- On-the-job training provided
