Job description
Job Description: To analyze and coordinate all income audit functions and ensure all daily financial transactions are verified and balanced.Responsibilities:
- Work with external companies to ensure daily revenues are posted correctly and on time.
- Month-end close, balance and post of revenues to meet corporate deadline.
- Assist with guest inquiry volume when applicable.
- Daily balancing of credit card batches settled to posted and received batches.
- Daily allowance review and distribution of reports.
- Daily management charge adjustments and posting to cost.
- Daily tracking and posting of select guest and amenity charges.
- Daily tax reconciliation.
- Daily review, balancing, and posting of MISC Commissions and receivable accounts.
- Daily reconciliation of all clearing accounts. Must be able to identify, research, and correct all out of balances.
- Manage check refund and gift card postings daily.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or Equivalent.
- Must have excellent computer skills.
- Must be able to work a Monday- Sunday shift.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Prior accounting or is preferred.
- Must have an understanding of balance sheets and revenue vs expense accounts.
- Must have a working knowledge of general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Hotel accounting experience is strongly preferred.

Night Auditor
Duties:
- Perform night audit duties including checking guests in and out, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy of financial transactions
- Provide exceptional guest service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and assisting with special requests
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Operate phone systems and handle incoming calls professionally
- Assist with guest services such as making reservations, providing recommendations, and coordinating transportation
- Conduct night audits to verify the accuracy of guest accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations during the night shift
Experience:
- Previous experience in guest relations or customer service is preferred
- skills are a plus, especially if commonly spoken by hotel guests
- Familiarity with hotel operations and front desk procedures is beneficial
- Knowledge of night audit processes and procedures is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
