We are seeking an energetic, driven, goal oriented, and improvement focused Contractor Sales Associate.
Contractor Sales Associate
The Contractor Sales Associate serves our non-stocking dealers with a “raving fans” mindset. They seek to understand the customers and contractors by asking great questions and educating them on the quality of our product. We serve both one-off and repeat contractors. You will be required to prospect for new business as well as cultivating business from contractors. You are expected to own the sale from beginning to end. This is a great opportunity for a well-qualified hunter.
Primary Duties:
- Preparing Quotes: A good understanding of design and construction is necessary. Then quoting it accurately using established pricing and costs build ups. Followed by, working to follow up on previous quotes and questions.
- Project Management: This consists of reviewing Job Opportunities and ensuring it is complete and that it is well described in writing and will easily be understood by our production team. Working with our draftsman and engineer as needed to ensure accuracy on the project. Then Connecting any custom quote to the project that has been previously prepared.
- Customer Service: Answering any questions either via phone call or email. Fulfilling Non-Stocking Dealer needs such as sending out parts orders, replacement parts, missing pieces, and marketing materials.
- Assisting in Contactor Training: This consists of educating our Non-Stocking Dealer Base at onsite locations, and communicating via phone calls, newsletters, and email blasts.
- On the Road Responsibilities. Attend home shows and in-home consultations. In-home consultations will require good in-person skills and ability to close sales on the spot. Home shows can be multiple days away from home while working on a show and communicating with contractors in order to grow our current contractor base.
- Building up Non-Stocking Dealer to a point where they are passionate in selling our products: This is accomplished by maintaining good relationships, great service, ensuring all issues/problems are taken care of, and providing motivational rewards/goals to Non-Stocking Dealers.
- Finding & Creating New Non-Stocking Dealers: Finding online at home shows or via data research, new and potentially new Non-Stocking Dealers. Also making cold calls to grow our existing network
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient with computers and able to navigate the web.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point)
- Great writing skills – Able to connect with customers and clearly communicate via the web and email.
- Attention to detail – Capture accurate information from quote requests and be detailed in writing orders.
- Self-Motivated – Able to pick up the phone and make calls for long periods of time, including cold calls.
- Team Player – Able to work well in a team atmosphere and to work for win-win situations.
- Creative – Capable to take the lead on new projects and create new ideas and processes.
- Passion for learning – Has a desire to improve skills continually in all areas of work and life.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- CRM experience a plus.
- 1-2 years minimum, sales experience.
- Good math skills.
- Carpentry Experience.

Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
