Seeking a Part Time Veterinary Assistant or a Part Time CVT.
Country Oaks Veterinary Clinic, PLLC is a mixed animal clinic that provides services for small and large animals including farm calls. The clinic also has a haul in facility for our large animals. Our Mission is to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients while providing our clients with education and assistance in all aspects of animal care and ownership, including public health awareness.
We are looking for dependable, positive, multi-tasking, detail-oriented individuals that are team players. The individual should be adaptable to changes and take direction well. The individual will highly value patient care, client and communication.
Applicant Requirements:
· 1 years experience as a Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician or 1 years as an experienced Veterinary Technician (non certified)
· Must be 18 years of age or old with high school diploma or equivalent
· Comfortable with people and animals and working as a team.
· Comfortable with anesthesia monitoring and IV catheter placement.
· Basic computer and typing skills
· Be able to communicate well in both verbal and written form
· Large animal experience a plus but not required.
· Looking for someone that is able to work Part time (2-2.5 days/week) with some Saturdays (We are only open the 2nd Saturday of each month 8am - 12pm so we rotate one every 3rd month).
· Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
Duties Include:
- Assist Doctor with patients
- Client Education
- Enter medical notes (We have Neo management system which is cloud based)
- Radiology procedures ( Dental DR unit, Small Animal DR & Mobile DR Unit for Large Animals, Ultrasound)
- Laboratory work and maintenance, including UA (In house Sedivue), bloodwork (In House IDEXX blood machines), Fecals, Cytology
- Blood Draws and IV catheter placement
- Anesthesia induction and maintenance, patient monitoring during/after surgery
- Dental prophylaxis and surgical assistance.
- Assistance with Large animal if desired.
- Answering phones, cleaning, helping where needed.
- Speaking with clients on the phone, giving test results, answering questions.
