Role Description
The Country Thunder Music Festivals Digital Content Creator will be responsible for the content curation and execution across the digital platforms utilized by Country Thunder, Big Valley Jamboree, and Rockin’ Thunder music festivals. This includes, but is not limited to, social media, email newsletters, the website, and external communication tools. This role will include additional duties as described below.
Social Media
- Content Creation: Assist in creating compelling social media content, including graphics, videos, and copy, for seven festivals across all utilized social platforms.
- TikTok Strategy & Execution: Lead the charge on TikTok by developing creative concepts, filming and editing engaging videos, and staying ahead of trends to grow our audience.
- Social Media Posting: Schedule and publish posts, engage with followers, and monitor trends across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads.
- Analytics & Insights: Track social media performance and engagement, providing insights and recommendations for growth.
- On-Site Event Coverage: Capture live content at festivals, including behind-the-scenes moments, artist highlights, and fan interactions.
Digital Community
- Email Marketing Support: Help draft and design engaging email newsletters to keep fans informed and excited.
- Digital Communication: Assist in managing festival websites, text messaging campaigns, and online community engagement.
Qualifications
- A background in live events, and/or a relevant degree in marketing / communications / music business is an asset.
- Proficient understanding of Social Media with a focus on TikTok, and a knowledge of trends, algorithm strategies, and viral content creation.
- A strong visual storyteller with experience in video editing and short-form content production.
- Graphic design skills with a knowledge of the Adobe Suite, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Skilled in copywriting with an engaging and on-brand tone.
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Work Expectations
This is a full-time role, with the expectation that the employee will contribute as necessary to the varying needs of the business at different times of year. The expectation is for a 40-hour work week. During the festival season, travel will be required to all shows, and employee will be compensated for the additional hours and time away from home with a Show Pay Bonus.
