What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting/Finance Summer Internship position at Countrymark Refining and Logistics?
Position Summary:
This internship is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to experience what CountryMark has to offer the in the Accounting/Finance field. The Intern will receive assignments with objectives and milestones and will complete a presentation regarding their assigned work and CountryMark experience at the conclusion of their internship.
Interns are involved in education and training programs designed to provide students with professional experience in the furtherance of their education and training and are academically oriented for their benefit. Internships assist students in reaching their educational goals by providing them an opportunity to augment classroom instruction with exposure to a real-world employment setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Shadow team members from Financial Accounting, FP&A, and AP/AR/Treasury to experience a “day in the life” of an accounting/finance professional.
* Participate in the month end close process to include possible journal entry completion and reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts.
* Perform multiple audit processes across Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and other processes within the organization.
* Audit and update master data setups in accounting software systems.
* Other Ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned.
* Coordinate and present the status of assigned tasks and projects.
Minimum Requirements:
* 3.0 / 4.0 GPA
* Junior or Senior Class Level
* Accounting or Finance Major
