Job Description: eCommerce Associate
Job Type: Part Time, must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays
Job Summary: The eCommerce associate’s primary role is to efficiently gather and ship product to customers following the proper guidelines and procedures. The fulfillment specialist will operate various computer programs to complete product orders, print shipping labels and ensure timely delivery of product. The fulfillment specialist is unique because the role is team based, but the individual must also able to effectively work independently.
CountryMax Overview: Beginning in 1984 as a small farm supply and feed store owned by the Payne family, CountryMax has grown into one of western New York State’s biggest success stories. CountryMax now operates 18 locations spanning from Buffalo to just north of Binghamton, and employs over 300 team members, a number that continues to grow each year. Over time the product offering as well as store size has increased dramatically- in addition to farm and feed supplies, CountryMax is now a one-stop shop for all lawn and garden products, pet supplies, small pets, clothing and backyard wild bird feeding. CountryMax customers have come to rely on a level of service, pricing, and small-town feel in a way that larger stores cannot replicate- yet they also enjoy the benefits of CountryMax’s extensive purchasing power and flexibility that typically tips the scales between the “big-boxes” and independents.
Position Outline: The eCommerce associate plays a key role in the eCommerce department. Utilizing the various computer shipping programs, the fulfillment specialist will ensure that orders are correct and being shipped out in a timely fashion. The fulfillment specialist will operate in a multi-faceted role. The fulfillment specialist will operate on the USPS side shipping smaller products and packages. The fulfillment specialist will also work on the UPS side shipping larger products and packages. The essential job functions include (but are not limited to) are:
· Operate the various computer shipping programs to complete various customer orders in a timely and efficient manner
· Review the order sheets to pull and package product to keep an efficient logistical flow among the shipping departments
· Organize and palletize the various product and merchandise in the eCommerce department
· Run inventory checks on merchandise and product in the eCommerce department to keep an accurate inventory count
Position Requirements:
The eCommerce Associate will work in the eCommerce department. Some additional requirements are listed below:
· Physical job- ability to stand on one’s feet for up to 12 hours a day is a must
· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. consistently is also a must
· Past experience in a fulfillment specialist role is a plus but not required
· The fulfillment specialist must be able to work independently or as a team, self-starter is a must
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
