Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and play areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Assist with basic grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing pets.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning supplies as needed.
- Support pet owners with information regarding their pets' needs and behaviors.
- Assist in training programs for dogs when required.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Animal handling: Comfortably interact with various breeds and sizes of animals.
- Pet care: Knowledgeable about pet general care practices.
- Animal care: Experience in monitoring animal health and behavior.
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and move equipment or animals as necessary.
