Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will work closely with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they are fed and their kennels are clean. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and have experience in animal handling. Individuals in this position will be handling dogs trained to apprehend and bite individuals, so confidence in handling is a must.
We are looking for an individual with the ability to work 3 hours in the AM or PM or 6 hours (split shift) 4 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, cleaning Kennels, canine work area and bathing (periodically).
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the owners.
- Handle heavy lifting associated with moving animals or cleaning supplies. (50lbs)
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while interacting with animals.
Skills
- Proficient in dog handling techniques and comfortable working with various breeds.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for kennel maintenance and animal care.
- Strong animal handling skills with a focus on safety and compassion.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners.

- Ability to handle animals training for Law Enforcement work. (bite dogs)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.50 - $11.31 per hour
