We are looking for a receptionist to perform daily administrative tasks and warmly greet and help our customers. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Customer service is key as this is a family owned and operated business. Our receptionist’s duties include answering phone calls, making reservations, answering email inquiries, and administrative tasks for the kennel. You will welcome guests and greet their pets. To be successful in this position, you should be able to deal with problems or client needs that may arise in a timely and professional manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This is a seasonal business so it's important to be mindful that there are busy times and slow times. Flexibility for scheduling is absolutely necessary. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory. Ultimately, duties and responsibilities for the front desk are to ensure the guests are welcomed positively, and execute all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Make sure all reports are printed and prepared
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, etc.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- Any kennel experience is a plus!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
