What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Countryside Veterinary Services?
DESCRIPTION
Countryside Veterinary Services is currently seeking applications for a receptionist for our small animal team. The right candidate will be able to handle client-facing duties as well as office tasks. When our clients walk into our door, we want them to be be greeted with a smiling face and helping hand. Excellent communication, multitasking skills, a strong work ethic and positive attitude are necessary for this position.
Other major duties include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling appointments and rechecks.
- Managing multiple phone lines.
- Ability to handle emergency phone calls.
- Keeping patient records updated.
- Overseeing the discharge / drop-off of animals from the hospital.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly waiting area.
- Salesmanship abilities and knowledge of products sold.
- Process prescription requests and provide routine instructions to owners concerning Rx for medications.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills. This position requires computer skills and proper use of the English language. Experience in a veterinary environment is required, experience with Impromed software a plus. BENEFITS
