Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete and Asphalt Paving Foreman to oversee and coordinate paving projects from start to finish. This individual will lead a crew of workers, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and direct a team of asphalt and concrete workers.
- Plan daily tasks, allocate resources, and ensure project timelines are met.
- Operate and oversee paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, and concrete finishing tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
- Monitor quality control and ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to coordinate work schedules.
- Maintain records of materials, labor, and equipment usage.
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement effective solutions.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in concrete and asphalt paving, preferably having at least 1-2 additional years in a leadership role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of paving techniques, grading, compaction, and finishing.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (CDL is highly Preferred), OSHA 10/30 preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods.
- Other: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
