We are seeking an experienced Prairie and Wetland Ecosystem Manager to join our team at the County of Champaign Forest Preserve. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the conservation and management of our unique natural areas.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the health and diversity of prairie and wetland ecosystems within the Preserves. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective management strategies to promote the long-term sustainability of these ecosystems.
Main Objectives:
- Develop and implement comprehensive management plans for prairie and wetland ecosystems.
- Conduct regular monitoring and assessment of ecosystem health and biodiversity.

- Provide education and outreach to visitors and stakeholders about the importance of prairie and wetland conservation.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Ecology, Botany, Zoology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in ecosystem management, conservation biology, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of prairie and wetland ecology and management principles.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
