We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Plant Operator to join our team at the County of Chesterfield. As a key member of our water quality management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our wastewater treatment plants.
Your primary duties will include maintaining equipment associated with physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes, including pumps, valves, compressors, and other essential systems. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning process tanks, grit chambers, clarifiers, and digesters, as well as general plumbing repairs and building maintenance.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and principles, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. A minimum of three years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or maintenance is required, along with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
