Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Plant Operator to join our team at the County of Chesterfield. As a key member of our public utility department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of pumps, valves, compressors, and other equipment associated with wastewater treatment;
• Cleaning and maintenance of process tanks, grit chambers, clarifiers, and digesters;
• General plumbing repairs and building maintenance;
• Housekeeping and relief plant operation shifts as needed;
• Working outdoors and performing other work as required.
