What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Supervisor position at County of Delaware?
Oversee other employees in accounts payable. Prepare invoices through SAP to pay vendors used throughout all departments in the County. Under general supervision of the Deputy Administrator
- Review all Invoices received by the Controller's Office through other various departments throughout the County
- Assign vendor numbers to new companies to be used by the County
- Enter payments through the SAP system
- Resolve problems between customers and vendors concerning payments
- Have control and settle Petty Cash approximately every three months or sooner if needed
- Review vendor list annually in preparation for 1099 reporting
- Assist with 1099 mailings yearly
- Prepare and record prior year's payments to be sent to archives
- Resolve W-9 issues with IRS
- Two year college or university degree
- SAP experience
- Accounting experience useful
- Problem solving and leadership skills
- Computer skills including Excel and Word
Residence Requirement: The County of Delaware has a residency requirement for employees. Anyone applying for this job must reside in Delaware County or be willing to move to the County within six months of starting employment.
