The Door County Soil & Water Conservation Department (SWCD) is seeking up to three field limited term employees for the 2025 season to inventory and control priority invasive species infestations and provide outreach throughout Door County.

The Door County Soil & Water Conservation Department (SWCD) is seeking up to three field limited term employees for the 2025 season to inventory and control priority invasive species infestations and provide outreach throughout Door County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control priority invasive plant infestations on private and public properties, including Phragmites australis, Reynoutria japonica, Dipsacus Spp, Pastinaca sativa, and Lythrum salicaria.
- Conduct boat inspections and provide education to anglers and recreationalists for the Clean Boats Clean Waters program.
- Inventory and mapping of new and existing invasive plant populations within Door County.
- Maintain tools and equipment necessary to perform the above functions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and 1 year training in science related field or related experience in land management.
- Experience recognizing plant and animal species, especially invasive species found in Door County.
- Experience operating various types of equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
