What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Maintenance Laborer position at COUNTY OF DUNN?
The Highway Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing general labor type duties, hand and power tool operation and entry level equipment operation on various road and bridge projects.
- Ability to operate vehicles such as pick-up, tractor and rotary mower along county roadways, road slopes and ditches.
- Ability to operate tools such as, jack hammers, air compressors, mechanical tampers, power saws, hydraulic drivers and similar equipment.
- Ability to do preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Ability to provide assistance to highway maintenance crews with general labor duties using hand tools.
- Ability to occasionally operate heavy equipment such as, loaders, motor grader, etc. as directed.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be 18-years of age.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Class A North Dakota Driver’s License.
