**Job Responsibilities**

As a Public Safety Dispatcher, you will be responsible for receiving and evaluating emergency calls, transferring calls to appropriate parties, creating law enforcement call for services, and operating computer equipment to access local, state, and federal criminal justice information systems.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you must have equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of emergency dispatching experience at a level equivalent to the County's class of Sheriff's Public Safety Dispatcher I. A Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Professional Public Safety Dispatcher Basic Certificate is desirable.
