Core Hours
Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Additional hours during Election requiring Saturday and mandatory overtime on Election Day (Approximately16-18 hours workday)

What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Registrar, you will:
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phones, greeting customers, and addressing voter registration and election-related inquiries.
- Process voter registration applications and maintain accurate records using a statewide database system.
- Administer all aspects of absentee balloting, including in-person and mail procedures.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Federal and Virginia election laws and policies.
- Manage office supplies and election materials to support smooth operations.
- Support varies functions during election on/off periods.
Typical Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in an office environment being customer-facing.
- Must be a qualified voter of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Cannot hold or be closely related to someone holding an elective office.
- Availability to work weekends and additional hours during election periods.
