Oversee and manage the processing of requests made under the S. C. Freedom of Information Act to support the Legal Unit and assist the General Counsel. Respond to discovery requests (Including criminal and civil subpoenas). Exercises good customer service techniques, such as listening, effective communications and problem solving; communicates with variety of people such as court personnel, law enforcement agencies, suspects, doctors, witnesses, victims, etc.; performs other duties as required. Thorough knowledge of office-management and secretarial skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office environment; general knowledge of South Carolina and federal law; able to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying department/court policies and procedures. Fluent in Windows and various Microsoft Office programs; ability to operate standard office machines and equipment; ability to work in a team environment. At least one year experience as an administrative professional or comparable experience, preferably in a managerial role.
