General Statement of Duties

Provides technical, administrative and customer service support to Human Services Specialists and Senior Human Services Specialists in the paperwork and process of determining eligibility of applicants for assistance; does related work as required.
Essential Duties
The case aide is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day tasks to ensure that case management services in services programs are provided in a timely, effective manner. The case aide is required to maintain a flexible, organized and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours and possibly weekends. Employees in this role must exercise independent judgement, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments as well as considerable tact, courtesy, and discretion with program participants, families, children, and the general public.
- Organizes, maintains and manages reports, files & forms including correspondence, assuming responsibility for correctness of spelling, punctuation, format, and grammar.
- Completes computer inquiries, creates and mails letters, manages files, requests and acquires death certificates, birth certificates, social security cards, etc.
- Completes Adult Protective Services Guardianship reports to include composing letters and entering information into database.
- Completes Accurint searches and mailing of letters to families.
- Supervises visitation between children and their parents and provides supervision of children during family partnership meetings, court and/or other meetings.
- Completes transcription & entry of case notes into OASIS, Peer Place and other databases.
- Attends trainings and unit and department meetings as required.
- Transports children, families, and adult clients to and from the office or other locations for visitation purposes, court and other appointments.
- In partnership with the case manager, conducts home visits to ensure safety, permanency and well-being of children and compliance with the service plan.
- Purchases, picks up and delivers goods and supplies for workers and clients.
- Maintains county vehicles
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school and one (1) year administrative/customer service experience, preferably in human services, social services, or related field; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

May require a valid driver’s license to perform assigned duties at various locations.
