Under the direction of a Correctional Sergeant, book, supervise, transport, receive, discharge and assure the safety and security of County jail inmates.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Valid California Driver's License. Incumbent must possess a California Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) Correctional Officer Core Course Certificate. Incumbents may be assigned to carry firearms. Those so assigned must successfully complete the 832 PC Course within 90 days of assignment.

Medical Standards EvaluationThe County of Imperial adheres to the CA Board of Corrections’ Standards and Training for Corrections Program (STC) requirements for medical and evaluation protocols of a local Correction and Probation Officer.
