What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parks Lead/Security position at County of Jackson?
- Advises Park visitors of park rules and regulations and correction of violations
- Assists with the collection, reporting and remitting of park fees
- Conduct regular and random patrol of the Parks and Forestry property
- Evaluates complaint and emergency-request information to determine response requirements
- Assists with camper registration/reservations
- Performs general grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, garbage collection and cleaning of park buildings (including restrooms) in all County Parks
- Checks building and furnishings, repairs minor damage, and reports major repair needs to Park Manager
- Completes reports and required documentation per department policy in an accurate and timely manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to work a modified schedule; nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
- Knowledge of personal computer operation with word processor and spreadsheet software; working knowledge of Records Management Systems and Microsoft Office Software package
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and its procedures
- Knowledge and use of office concepts and procedures including general business and office functions, reading comprehension, typing and keyboarding
- Knowledge and follow through with open records requests
- Knowledge of all policies, procedures, rules, orders, and directives pertaining specifically and generally to members of a specific division and/or the department
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures, terminology and equipment
- Knowledge of business math and English
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public
