Performs professional, technical, and analytical duties in the design, coordination, and operation of automation systems, including enterprise, client / server, and desktop systems and networks. Responsibilities include user and system requirements analysis, network administration and maintenance, and applications development. Assists with the development of county computer information systems and networks, provides user support and training, integrates database systems with other information systems, and facilitates the development of computer networks within the county and other entities. Performs related duties as assigned under general supervision.

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s License.
Education and Experience :
Pattern 1 : Equivalent to an Associate's degree or completion of an approved certificate program in computer science, information systems technology, management information systems or a related field.
One (1) year of full-time experience in the Interagency Merit System performing duties of an Information Systems Technician; OR One (1) year of full-time experience analyzing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network devices, which includes working with various operating structures and database structures. (Additional qualifying experience can be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
Pattern 2 : One (1) year of full-time experience in the design, oversight, coordination, and operation of a department's automation system; which includes, depending upon the option recruited for professional experience in network / server administration or application development. Additional directly related experience and / or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST II Licensing and Certifications :
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s License.
Education and Experience :
Completion of sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter units from an accredited college or university with major course work in a technical field such as computer science, management information systems or a closely related field.
Two (2) years of full-time work experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of computer based systems and equipment comparable to that of an Information Systems Analyst II with the County of Lake.
Additional directly related experience and / or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST III Licensing and Certifications :
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s License.
Education and Experience :
Completion of sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter units from an accredited college or university with major course work in a technical field such as computer science, management information systems or a closely related field.
Two (2) years of full-time work experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of computer based systems and equipment comparable to that of an Information Systems Analyst II with the County of Lake.
Additional directly related experience and / or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
