Under general supervision, carries out a range of complex accounting, financial analysis, and auditing tasks related to the preparation, maintenance, and review of the Department of Public Works’ financial records and transactions. Supports the creation, tracking, and management of the department's budget. Assists in gathering and analyzing various statistical data. Aids in managing contracts, writing and coordinating grant applications, and overseeing grant administration. Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Licensing and Certifications: Education and Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.ANDTwo (2) years of full-time experience performing administrative, accounting, and/or fiscal analysis duties with the County of Lake or other organization.Experience in performing project-based (job) cost accounting for a public works department, construction contractor, or similar organization is highly desirable. Experience performing a variety of grant writing, coordination, administration, and/or reporting tasks is highly desirable.Additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted.
