Job Description:
The Eleventh Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking applicants for a paralegal position in its Lexington County office.
The paralegal will perform specialized legal research and clerical duties for attorneys. The paralegal’s duties will include interviewing new clients, drafting and filing motions and orders, preparing correspondence, making telephone calls, scheduling appointments, organizing client files, and assisting attorneys during hearings and trials. Prior courtroom experience is preferred.

Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree or higher in a related field of study preferred
Minimum Qualification:
Paralegal certificate preferred

Pay: $18.87 - $20.38 per hour
