The role involves supervising the information technology staff within the Solicitor's Office and ensuring a secure and reliable technology infrastructure for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office, which includes the Solicitor's Offices of Edgefield, Lexington, McCormick, and Saluda counties. This includes overseeing office technology personnel and the work product of contracted technology vendors. Responsibilities encompass supporting office servers, data storage, networks, firewalls, databases, internet, endpoint protection, two-factor authentication, digital evidence management systems, case management systems, website, email, software applications, computers, and users. Additionally, the role requires generating custom reports from various applications and forms, supporting in-house Microsoft Access platforms, and planning, designing, implementing, monitoring, administering, and troubleshooting the office's network infrastructure and server systems. The position also involves creating technology policies and procedures and serving as SLED's Local Area Security Officer (LASO) for the office. Budget management is a key aspect, involving the preparation of budgets for technology hardware, software, and subscriptions, including justifications and projected costs.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
