About the Position
The 4-H Summer Program Assistant is a limited-term position with Marathon County supporting the UW-Madison Division of Extension 4-H Program Marathon County. This role supports positive youth development by delivering engaging, research-based education through 4-H summer programs. The educator will work directly with youth, volunteers, and community partners to enhance learning experiences and expand access of Marathon County 4-H hands-on summer programming.
Responsibilities
Lead and assist in delivering 4-H summer programs, camps, and outreach activities.
Engage youth in interactive, research-based educational experiences.
Help design and promote marketing materials for summer programs.
Ensure programs are inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences.
Assist in program logistics, material preparation, and event coordination.
Gather feedback and evaluation data to improve summer programs.
Communicate activities and program updates to supervisors, stakeholders, and partners.
Requirements
Experience working with youth and community programs.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge of youth development principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in 4-H program development and implementation.
Familiarity with community-based education and outreach strategies.
Understanding of creating a welcoming environment in educational settings.
Position Details
Seasonal, limited-term position (Mid-May through August 2025).
