Nature of Work:
The responsibility of this 40 (or less) hours per week position is to greet the public, collect fees paid for facility usage and merchandise. Attendants are required to work five days per week, including weekends / holidays.
Examples of Work:
Provides outstanding customer service to the public.
Assist with special events.
Involves collection of camping, boating, & equestrian fees.
Sales of recreational merchandise.
Maintain the facilities in a clean and orderly fashion.
Additional duties as assigned.
Desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills:
Ability to quickly learn computerized point-of sale system.
Ability to uphold departmental policy and procedures in a firm, consistent manner.

Must have a demonstrated ability to deal with staff and public in a positive manner, e.g. must be tactful, consistent and firm when enforcing beach rules and administering discipline.
Must be able to enforce departmental policies.

This position includes routine maintenance of parks including mowing, trimming, refuse collection, building and restroom cleaning. In addition, this position performs regular maintenance and renovation work including landscaping, painting, etc. Primary work hours are from 7:00 am — 3:30 pm. Mon-Friday with some weekend/ holiday work required: Regular weekend work may be available dependent upon scheduling.

Mowing parks
Refuse removal
Cleaning restrooms / buildings
Routine maintenance on mowers and equipment
Painting park equipment
Installing wildlife habitat structures
Assisting in aquatic/ fishery management
Desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills:
Experience working in landscape / lawn maintenance / janitorial areas.
Knowledge & experience in small motors, operation of tractors
