What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Clerk position at County of Monmouth?
Under direction, performs a variety of routine clerical tasks which involve computing, classifying, verifying, and recording numerical data and the reconciliation of accounts, records, and documents to keep sets of financial records complete; does other
related duties as required.
The position is essential in answering the phone calls, completing requisitions, purchase orders, checking in deliveries, preparation to pay invoices, filing, typing letters, receiving vendor paperwork and collecting funds, and preparing money for the Finance Department.
The Account Clerk will:
- Prepare records of cash receipts and disbursements.
- Prepare requisitions for purchases by the department and ensures they are received
- Insure entries, postings, and totals are accurate and supporting documents are included.
Work hours - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please be advised, all Monmouth County positions are on site. There are no provisions to work remotely.
