Join our Road Maintenance Team for the 2025 Summer Season!
We are looking for individuals with a California Class B operator's license with a tanker endorsement to assist with road maintenance utilizing a variety of medium and heavy road maintenance equipment! This critical role will assist with minor road repairs, brush clearing, traffic control and other duties as assigned.
PROOF OF VALID CLASS B OPERATOR'S LICENSE ISSUED BY A STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION.

Ideal candidates will have:
Knowledge of:
- Safe work practices
- Geography and road names of a Nevada County road maintenance district
- Methods, procedures, tools and materials used in the repair and maintenance of roads
- Provisions of the California Vehicle Code and safety practices and procedures relating to the operation of medium and heavy road maintenance equipment on streets and roads
- Learning to maintain and make minor repairs on roads
- Performing physical labor requiring strength, manual dexterity, and agility
- Understanding and carry out oral and written instructions
- Reading and comprehending equipment operation manuals, performance standards and job instructions
- Writing and completing vehicle accident, industrial injury, and safety inspection reports
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with those contacted during work
