What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Airport Worker position at County of Somerset?
The Airport Worker operates the airport in accordance with FAA standards for safety. The Worker completes tasks provided by the Airport Manager. The Airport Worker assists customers with fuel sales.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of civil aviation, fuel handling, quality control, heavy equipment operation, and general sales auditing. They must have an understanding of FAA and BOA regulations on airport safety. Ability to perform manual labor, lift at least 50 lbs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESOPONSIBILITIES:
· Check airfield for operational hazards.
· Check fuel quality and quality levels.
· Enter and Audit sales each day.
· Customer Services.
· Interaction with renters and airport users.
· Interaction with businesses located on the airport.
· Filing of appropriate (daily) paper work.
· Assist customers with aircraft fueling when needed.
· Monitor airport for wild life issues, mitigate if possible, and report if needed.
· Monitor paved surfaces for debris.
· Household cleaning.
· Equipment use as needed. Mowing and snow removal.

ELIGIBILITY – ALL CANDIDATES MUST
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High school diploma required.
- Knowledge of civil aviation and fuel handling preferred.
