ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect bacteriological water samples at various public beaches and monitoring sites
- Perform laboratory analysis and testing of bacteriological samples
- Collect and interpret data pertaining to the public bathing beaches.
- Complete a statistical and graphic report on the public bathing beaches.
- Collect and interpret data pertaining to mosquito collection and tick collection, and complete related statistical and graphic reports.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Work is performed under the supervision of the Environmental Health Director or other designated official.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION:
- One to two years of college education; preferred major course of study to be in Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Biology or other related field.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Prior to starting employment, the candidate must complete a satisfactory background check. - Possess a valid State of Michigan Operator’s License and maintain eligibility to drive as per the County’s vehicle policy throughout employment in this position.
