Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Support critical care initiatives by preparing specialized medications as needed.
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of pharmaceutical products.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote optimal patient care outcomes.
- Assist store manager with front store inventory ordering and stocking
- Assisting customers checking out with prescription or front store items.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, with relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting. However, we are willing to train the right candidate if they lack experience.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Familiarity with critical care protocols and patient care standards is an asset.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards in pharmacy operations, including aseptic techniques.
