1st Shift Courier Dispatcher

We are looking for a reliable and efficient 1st Shift Courier Dispatcher to join our team. This position is responsible for ensuring that contract drivers are dispatched to each pick-up and delivery destination within an agreed upon schedule. It is important that the individual can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately recall and document appropriate information in the dispatch system. This position may alternate between dispatching and customer serviceduties based on daily business requirements. This position will involve contact with contract drivers (owner/operators) and with customers daily.

Hours:8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (Must have flexibility if needed)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles efficiently
• Respond to urgent situations and unscheduled client requests
• Manage driver routes and assignments
• Communicate key information to drivers and customers
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle assignments and deliveries
• Address driver and customer issues, including logistics planning
• Foster positive working relationships with drivers, clients, and management
• Continuously monitor and evaluate driver performance
• Other duties as assigned
