Job Description
The Cosmetics Supply Chain Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sample room. This individual will be responsible for tracking projects, managing samples and packaging components, and maintaining a high level of quality control.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of product organization and distribution within the sample room.
- Fulfillment of sample room product requests for internal and client projects in a timely manner.
- Prompt response to all requests and ensure on-time delivery.
- Receipt, inspection, and organization of incoming cosmetic samples and packaging components, with maintenance and updates to the master product and packaging component inventory spreadsheets on a weekly basis.
- Labeling and preparation of market allocations for newly launching USA collections.
- Monitoring of sample production for internal collections, including support from the Senior Manager, starting with component orders: logging inventory in a spreadsheet including all vital information such as supplier, item reference code, qty received, etc., while maintaining organization of the component inventory room; proactive monitoring of emails to cross-check orders received and send components to appropriate internal teams when it's time to fill.
- Preparation of shipments locally and globally daily; accuracy of all shipping and receiving paperwork; communication of content details and tracking information with recipient; diligent research and provision of delivery information.
- Maintenance of an orderly and functional sample room environment, proactively re-organizing and shifting older collections into bins, unpacking newer collections samples received from Italy and Asia, and updating the master product inventory file accordingly.
- Clear and concise written updates on sample statuses for internal teams.
- A strong eye for detail with quality assurance and ability to evaluate samples aesthetically as well as in terms of color consistency, packaging integrity, and overall presentation.
