Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our hotel's laundry facilities. Responsibilities include operating washing machines and dryers, sorting and processing linens, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and operate washing machines and dryers to meet hotel standards.
- Wash, dry, and fold all dirty linens, towels, and rags as directed by management.
- Clean dryer filters daily and maintain all equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
- Operate irons safely and efficiently to ensure high-quality linen presentation.
- Fold and stock linens in designated areas, maintaining organized and clean storage spaces.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure guest and employee safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of laundry floors and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers to maintain hotel standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy laundry carts (50-400lbs) and linens (25-150lbs) with regular frequency.
- Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure, ensuring efficient and effective task completion.
