Event Manager
The Event Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales and is responsible for working with all clients to provide professional client services support in the planning, organization, and management of events within the facility, monitoring the logistics of these events and all event related tasks after events are concluded. To detail all retreats, weddings, social and corporate events.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
- Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success.
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate all operations.
- Lead promotional activities for the event.
- Serve as facility contact day of event.
- Approve all aspects before the day of the event.
- Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur.
- Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports.
Requirements
- This position demands a flexible schedule and is event driven; this individual must be available days, nights, holidays, weekends based on the needs of the client and Hutton Brickyards.
- Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products- Excel, Outlook.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be guest service focused and be self-motivated.
- 1-2 years of event experience preferred.
