Our Hotel Operations Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Portsmouth, NH is a multi-dimensional role that is second to the hotel General Manager. Our Operations Manager ensures guest satisfaction by communicating and coordinating activities across all departments, managing reservations and room assignments, and responding to guest requests, inquiries and issues.
Daily Activities of the Operations Manager include:
- Recruit, train and support associates
- Create and monitor work schedules for associates
- Supervise staff during daily shifts
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
- Monitor, stock and order supplies
- Review and respond to in-house and 3rd party reviews
Desired Qualities for our Operations Manager include:
- Ability to communicate effectively; ability to speak, understand and read English
- Demonstrated high level of integrity and trustworthiness; ability to pass background checks
- Demonstrated history of leadership, goal-setting and execution
- Minimum two years hospitality and management/supervisory experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends
