CATERING SALES MANAGER -COURTYARD COCONUT GROVE (MARRIOTT)
Job Summary: Develop and foster Group and Catering business for the hotel through proactive and reactive sales efforts. This position is designed to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction to external clients and internal partners with the goal of garnering both repeat and referral business from client base. In addition to maintaining existing business, this position will be responsible for finding new business and saturating existing accounts and/or segments. This positions serves as liaison between the customer, the Sales team and the Event Management team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Sales and Business Development:**
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct outreach to event planners, corporate clients, and individuals to promote catering services.
- **Client Consultation:**
- Meet with clients to understand their event requirements and recommend appropriate catering solutions.
- Create customized proposals and quotes based on client needs, preferences, and budget considerations.
**Event Coordination:**
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery during events.
- Oversee event logistics, including menu planning, staffing, and setup, to ensure a successful catering experience.
**Market Research:**
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer preferences to refine service offerings and marketing strategies.
- Conduct regular analysis of catering sales performance and develop strategies for improvement.
**Marketing and Promotion:**
- Assist in the development of marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and social media content to enhance brand visibility.
- Participate in trade shows, networking events, and community outreach to promote catering services.
**Qualifications:**
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or catering management, preferably in the hospitality or events industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with catering software programs.
