Description : Clinical Director
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinical Director oversees clinical operations, management of clinical staff, clinical oversight and development of all programs and services, and regulatory compliance of services and programs. The Clinical Director ensures high-quality patient care, assists with development of policies and procedures, and maintains accurate records. Their leadership drives improvement and supports the organization's success.
The Clinical Director is responsible for training and supervision of all clinically related staff.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a counseling related field is required.
Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required. Ability to supervise Registered Clinical Social Work Interns is preferred.
A minimum of four (4) years' experience working with children and families with emphasis on grief and loss, health care, mental health counseling, support groups, and crisis management is required.
Must be able to develop and implement procedures, budgets, and educational programs.
Must possess valid Florida driver license and automobile insurance and insurability under the company liability insurance are required.
Key Responsibilities
In conjunction with Executive Director, develop strategies, plans and programs to ensure growth of related services. Provides oversight to ensure that strategic development plans comply with legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards related to the delivery of clinical programs.
Working with the Executive Director, develop and manage budgets to support programs and meet identified goals.
Provides in-service / education to staff, volunteers and the community regarding children's grief and loss issues.
Maintains frequent contact with clients, families and community resource agencies as required.
In conjunction with Executive Director, recruit employees to ensure department is staffed with qualified personnel.
Assign cases and create schedules for all clinical employees. Coordinate and supervise clinical staff providing constructive feedback.
Carry a limited counseling caseload during peak periods of referrals or when cases require a higher level of licensure or advanced skills.
Responsible for developing performance measures and providing regular / required performance evaluations of clinical staff.
Create, implement and utilize tools to document all activity, impact and outcomes related to services provided through programs for children and families. Ensure all medical records and other care-related documentation are maintained and up-to-date.
Develop, organize, and act as lead facilitator in Children's Grief / Bereavement activities and events as appropriate to include : Camp Monarch, Camp Connect, 1 : 1 clinical sessions, group clinical sessions, Memory Maker Kits, Parent Pack, Grief Connect Kits, Counselor Connect Kits and other related grief events or support activities.
