What You Will Do | Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive training, technical assistance, and oversight for the Nursing Program, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments and maintain accurate clinical histories
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Monitor medical equipment and diagnose health issues in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Recommend appropriate treatments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise contracted nursing staff, ensuring they receive appropriate training and support
- Oversee and train staff on the medical administrator record (MAR)
- Train staff on client-specific diagnoses and ensure competency in managing support related needs such as seizures, g-tubes, injection administration, etc
- Crisis Consultation Duties:
- Provide expert consultation to licensed professionals regarding crisis interventions
- Monitor and evaluate crisis intervention documentation, adjusting recommendations as necessary
- Assist in developing effective strategies for individuals transitioning home post-crisis
- Medication Management:
- Conduct medication administration training sessions and follow-up on medication errors
- Review and assess medications and diagnoses of participants
- Implement initial MARs and conduct necessary checks/reviews
- Health and Safety Management:
- Develop, revise, and implement guidelines and protocols related to health and safety
- Update policies as necessary
- Documentation:
- Document all services provided for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, including HIPAA
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Additional Duties:
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director and COO, as necessary to meet organizational objectives
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Must pass criminal background checks and maintain no active listings in the NC Health Care Abuse Registry
- Hold a current and valid nursing license in North Carolina or a valid nationwide nursing license acceptable in North Carolina; board certification preferred
- Professional liability insurance and ability to complete enrollment/credentialing processes for MCOs, if appropriate
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Proven ability to work with, manage, and supervise others
- Familiarity with the NC Innovations Waiver is highly desirable
- Master’s Degree or Advanced Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Compliance with all licensure and regulatory requirements as defined by governing bodies that Covenant Case Management Services partners with
- Multi-State Nursing License
- Knowledge and skill in effective communication and training
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring appropriate departments and services are included in planning and direction
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Maintain professional codes of ethics
- Skills and capability to work with complex projects
- Consistent, reliable access to the internet and cell phone

- Valid driver’s license
